A bronze statue of the popular Tibetan Buddhist goddess Green Tara.
It is very hard to say for sure exactly how old this statue is, as it is very corroded. This could be a deliberate modern application of chemical corrosion to make the statue look older than it is, or it could be a very old, naturally corroded statue. It is well made and the corrosion is uniform and looks to be real, so I suspect this is in fact an old statue which has had a hard life - but it is hard to be 100% sure.
The statue quite well detailed and well made in good condition despite the corrosion. It is suitable for use in a shrine room, on an altar or could simply be enjoyed as a work of art.
